I started taking pictures when I was a child, I used to love drawing, I think it’s something like taking photos. I used to draw everyday, all day long, I tried to create fantastic worlds but even to reproduce reality around me. Then I started taking pictures of old doors and latches in Anagni, the city I live in, I like very much observing the effects that time has on wood and iron, and on every kind of material. Now my photos arise out of an idea, from the daily observation of the world that surrounds me, from which I take my cue. Sometimes I spare a day so as to observe the world, go out and just look and linger at every single detail…. this is just to explain that behind my works there’s a synthesis of what I live everyday.
